Client testimonial 'Navitrans'

Jan Decoene (Bessa Benelux) and architect Wolf Goddeeris on cooperation with Beddeleem: “Visually beautiful systems”

Jan Decoene and his wife Emanuelle Glorieux jointly run Bessa Benelux, a project development and investment company in Kortrijk. At the site of the former cotton mill on the Spinnerijstraat they work together on a number of office projects with architect Wolf Goddeeris from Kortrijk-based architectural firm Goddeeris.

“The old cotton mill stood empty for a while and was completely run down,” explains Jan Decoene. “My late father-in-law purchased and cleaned up the site. Three buildings remained. In 2010, Honeywell commissioned the first of these.”

“In 2015, Bessa was asked by software firm Navitrans for a new office building with room for growth. Together with architectural firm Goddeeris we thoroughly renovated the building that covers 2,800 m² over three floors. Work started in 2016 and was completed in 2017. Wolf engaged Beddeleem as its partner for the ceilings, walls, doors, floors, etc. He had already done other projects with them,” according to Jan.

Stable partner

Architect Wolf Goddeeris: “Beddeleem is a stable partner for major projects. They think ‘outside the box’ and provide a correct price-quality ratio. Consequently, I’ve already worked with them several times, including for Kortrijk Xpo.”

One-stop solution

“Beddeleem is known as a ‘one-stop shop provider’ and this is their strength. They deliver the complete fit-out, not just walls and doors. Of course, this calls for strict and, at the same time, flexible project and site supervision. Beddeleem manages to deliver a quick response. Over the years we have built up a relationship of trust with them and cooperating with them is a pleasant experience. So, I was able to recommend them to Jan Decoene, with confidence,” says Wolf.

Jan Decoene: “The result is impressive. Navitrans occupies a modern and beautiful office complex. For this reason, I also entrusted Beddeleem with the fit-out of the third building on the site.”

For the Navitrans project Beddeleem supplied ceilings in plasterboard, walls (JB 2000, JB 4000 and JB PURE), doors (JB DOOR BLOK), fixed walls, raised floors with carpeting and vinyl, customised solutions (4 kitchens, 9 washbasins), façade connection systems and concrete plywood.
