In general, you can therefore visit our Website without providing any personal data. We do not ask for personal data information, but we can offer certain functionalities to the visitor to provide us with certain information.
3.2. Providing personal data
In this sense, we make available a contact form on the Website. You can use this form to ask us a question or to request certain documentation (e.g. brochure, product folder, etc.), information, etc. You can fill out the contact by providing the relevant information and you can also send us a personal message. We also offer you the possibility, for example, to download our brochure or have it sent by post or e-mail. In addition, you can also apply for the vacancies listed on the website or you can send a spontaneous application to us.
When using any of these functionalities, we only collect the data/information that you provide to us and which you agree we can process for the purposes of your request. Of course, you can also visit our Website without providing us with your personal data. Under no circumstances will we request information revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or other sensitive information. However, if you do provide this sensitive information on your own initiative, the provision of this information shall be considered as your explicit consent to allow us to use this information for the purposes for which you have provided that information.
You can also subscribe to our newsletter by providing the necessary information. You have the right to unsubscribe from this newsletter at any time. To do so you can contact us or click on the unsubscribe link in the mailing.
In addition to the above, you will understand that we are interested in statistical data that reveal information about the performance of our Website, for example: how many individuals visit the Website each month; from which countries do the visitors of our Website originate; which website pages are most successful, etc.? For this purpose we register your IP address and domain name. And to adapt the facilities and functions to the user's equipment, we also keep a record of the type of browser you use to access our Website. We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest.
4. For which purposes are personal data used?
The personal data you provide to us will be used to follow up on the question or request that you sent to us. You understand and agree that we will need to process these personal data in order to meet your request (e.g. to provide you with information, send you a brochure, subscribe to the newsletter, apply for a job, etc.). The personal data obtained via the Website may therefore be used by Beddeleem for prospecting and promotional purposes, the management of the client database, and (direct) marketing. You are of course not obliged to make use of these functionalities.
The information collected is also used for improvement purposes of our Website, services and marketing activities.
5. Processing term and security
We will store the personal data you provide to us in a file for a limited period of time in order to allow further follow-up of your request. We apply a standard period of 1 year before erasing any data in the event that data is no longer relevant in function of the question or the request (this of course does not apply, for example, when you register and remain registered for our newsletter, when we enter into a contractual relationship, when you join our team, etc.).
Furthermore, Beddeleem highly values the security of your personal data. We secure your personal data during transmission and at rest. In addition, we have taken internal organisational and technical measures to secure and protect your data.
6. Which data do we share with third parties?
Rest assured that we protect your privacy as much as possible. In this sense, we will minimise the sharing of your personal data with third parties. In any case, your data will only be used for Beddeleem's purposes and will under no circumstances be transferred or sold to third parties or disclosed to third parties who would process them for their own purposes, except as described below.
Within our company we only share your data on a need-to-know basis, hence with those who need this data (e.g. to answer your question). We may also share data, when necessary, with third parties acting on our instructions and with whom we have the necessary contractual arrangements in place or who are subject to an obligation of confidentiality (e.g. accountant, legal advisor, etc.). Beddeleem in this sense may cooperate with third parties facilitating the organisation of its activity (e.g. using an e-mail programme, ERP programme, CRM programme, using subcontractors, etc.) but such third parties shall only work and process data on the instruction of Beddeleem. We take great care in selecting reliable partners.
Moreover, Beddeleem is part of a group of companies within which certain services are shared. If relevant, your personal data may be passed on within the group for the necessary follow-up of your request. Rest assured, however, that throughout our group strict privacy requirements apply to all our employees.
We may also share data with competent authorities who are authorised to request such data or to whom we are required to pass on information, or where this is required by law or as a result of legal proceedings or litigation. In addition, in the event of a reorganisation, merger or sale of the company, we may transfer any personal data we collect to the relevant third party or parties.
In general, we have no intention of transferring personal data to other third parties, nor do we intend to transfer personal data to countries outside the European Economic Area; should the latter still occur, we will ensure to put in place appropriate safeguards to protect your data.
During a visit to our Website, "cookies" may be placed on your device.
8. Your rights
Privacy legislation grants to data subjects a variety of rights. We take information about these rights and the exercising of these right very seriously! For example, the legislation provides that each data subject has the right to ask us to access, rectify or erase the personal data we process about him/her or to restrict the processing of such personal data. In some cases, you can also object to the processing and you may have a right to data portability. You can also withdraw your consent at any time, but you understand that such withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of the processing we have carried out on the basis of your consent before its withdrawal.
In certain cases, we may refuse requests, for example if they are very unclear or suspicious, endanger the privacy of others, are extremely impractical, etc. We always act in accordance with the legislation in force.
In first instance, we would like to discuss any questions or concerns directly with you. However, we would like to point out that you always have a right to lodge a complaint or question to a competent supervisory authority. In Belgium, you can submit a complaint or question to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (see www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be; address: Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels; telephone: +32 (0)2 274 48 00; E: firstname.lastname@example.org).
