Fourth VOKA Charter for Sustainable Entrepreneurship for Beddeleem

On June 19, 2025, Beddeleem received the Voka Charter for Sustainable Entrepreneurship (VCDO) for the fourth consecutive year. During a festive ceremony on the steps of Upoffiz in Ghent, we were proud to accept the certificate alongside 88 other East Flemish companies. This recognition once again confirms our ongoing commitment to sustainability, innovation, and futureproof entrepreneurship.

The VCDO is part of an annual action plan linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or the European sustainability standards. Each participating company carries out tangible actions that are independently evaluated. This process goes beyond administration — it’s about real impact and decisive action.

“Sustainability is no longer an optional ambition. It is a strategic lever for future-oriented entrepreneurship,” says Griet Santy, Manager of Sustainable Entrepreneurship at Voka East Flanders. “More and more companies are experiencing that sustainability goes hand in hand with innovation, resilience, and societal relevance. With the VCDO, we provide a concrete and structured framework to support that transition.”

“Sustainability drives our innovative and future-focused decisions. “The VCDO helps us turn that vision into action; we grow and learn together with other companies in the network,” says Anne de Coninck, Sustainability Manager at Beddeleem.
