Award of public tender for the finishing of Block Q UZA (Edegem)

Beddeleem has been awarded the finishing of the new wing Block Q of the UZA in Edegem. The new high-tech wing with a floor area of 26,000 m² consists of a ground floor and five floors and is thus as high as the existing hospital block.

The consultation rooms will be housed on the ground floor.
The first and second floors will house the surgical day hospital with 24 operating rooms.
The 3rd floor will house the bio-engineers, CSA, central storage and OR technology.
The Intensive Care Unit with no fewer than 60 rooms will be located on the two highest floors.

The contract, for a total amount of €14.4 million, includes the supply and installation of walls, doors and ceilings, painting works, the supply and installation of hard and soft floors, and the coordination of the contract (including techniques).

The fitting out works have just started and will run until the beginning of 2024.
