Two of Belgium’s redeveloped CORA sites: Hornu & La Louvière

Mitiska REIM, the leading specialist investor in retail real estate, is spearheading the redevelopment of seven CORA hypermarkets across Belgium.
With an €80 million investment for the first phase, the goal is to transform these iconic sites into regional grocery-anchored retail centres, featuring flexible layouts and modern shopping experiences.

As general contractor for the Hornu and La Louvière locations, Beddeleem is responsible for demolition, reconstruction, coordination, reconfiguration and fit-out of the various zones.
The sites will welcome major tenants such as Delhaize Belgium and DreamLand.

  • La Louvière – 16,674 m² total area – 11,178 m² supermarket
  • Hornu – 14,124 m² total area – 10,646 m² supermarket

With tight deadlines (Phase 1 → January 2026 | Phase 2 → August 2026), these projects demand strong coordination and seamless execution.
