Beddeleem achieves level 1 of the CO₂ Performance Ladder

Beddeleem has achieved CO₂ Performance Ladder certification, Handbook 4.0, Level 1. This framework helps us embed our climate approach more firmly in our management systems: from accurately measuring energy consumption and emissions to setting concrete reduction targets and communicating transparently about our progress.

This next step in our sustainability ambition ‘Contribute to a Cool Planet’ builds on a climate approach developed over several years. We have achieved the Taking Climate Action Silver Company label for five consecutive years. Through the CO₂ Performance Ladder, we are further developing this approach and strengthening the systematic monitoring of our climate impact and reduction targets.

Our climate approach builds on an energy and environmental policy that has long been part of our business operations. Structurally embedded through ISO 14001 since 2011, this policy focuses on energy efficiency and lower energy consumption. We have progressively expanded our efforts to include our own renewable energy generation and electrification.

Having achieved Level 1, we are continuing our journey towards Level 2, with particular attention to Scope 3: the indirect emissions in our value chain. Through considered material choices, assessment of the impact of materials, and collaboration with suppliers, partners and clients, we aim to further reduce our climate impact.
